With engaging role play areas, children can pretend to be the everyday heroes and grown-ups they admire. Whether they dream of building in the Construction Zone, saving the day in the Emergency Services, running a Supermarket, or exploring the stars in our Space Station, there’s something for every budding imagination. Other areas include a cosy Home Zone, a stylish Boutique / Salon, a bustling Delivery Office, a hands-on Mechanics Workshop, a popular Café, and even a caring Surgery for little doctors/vets and nurses.

We run advance booking pay-as-you-go sessions, school, nursery, pre-school & SEND workshops as well as parties and private hire.

Role & Play is based in Lancaster and we offer our services to Lancashire and Cumbria.

Role & Play Mini City provides a dynamic and immersive learning experience that supports holistic child development. It has been designed for children up to the age of 7; supporting key areas of learning in the EYFS framework and Key Stage 1 curriculum.

Through our specially designed areas - Supermarket, Space Station, Home Area, Delivery Office, Mechanics, Medical Centre, Emergency Services, Cafe, Boutique/Salon and Construction Site - Role & Play Mini City encourages children to explore and understand the world around them by imitating real-life scenarios, fostering creativity, imagination and problem-solving skills. It offers a natural platform for developing communication and language as children interact, negotiate roles, and express their ideas. Additionally, Role & Play supports personal, social, and emotional development by encouraging teamwork, empathy, and confidence-building. We can support children to engage with themes such as people who help us, careers and community roles, helping them make meaningful connections to their environment or simply an excuse for fun and play.
